It is the policy of the State of Texas to protect expressive rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. Consistent with this policy, the University of North Texas recognizes that freedom of expression is a fundamental right of all persons and that as a public institution of higher education it has a responsibility to operate and maintain an effective and efficient educational and work environment, including regulating the time, place and manner of expressive activities in its facilities as well as on its grounds.

Clery Act

UNT values the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and campus visitors. UNT also recognizes the value of publishing the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and acknowledges that it is key to ensuring that the campus community is informed about campus safety policies and statistics.
