UNT is committed to academic excellence.  In 1984, the UNT Board of Regents endorsed the concept of raising academic requirements while intensifying efforts to help students succeed academically. Subsequently, UNT has steadily increased standards for both undergraduate and graduate admissions. Pursuant to the 1984 policy, this policy establishes guidelines for processes to be followed for making changes in admission standards.
