Policy description
Naming opportunities exist to recognize the dedication, accomplishment or generosity of extraordinary individuals and entities whose support is valuable to the mission and programs at the University of North Texas. This policy will guide the President in establishing consistent definitions, minimum standards, and general procedures to guide staff and donors in discussing naming opportunities.

This policy was reviewed as part of the standard 6-year review process. "Honorific Naming" has been expended to include a due diligence clause and the "Duration of a Naming" section has added a "standards" clause. Language has been revised throughout the policy to align with Regents Rules. Editorial, formatting, and clarifying language were implemented throughout the policy.
