Revised to include a statement regarding the University’s established procedures for approving substantive changes to its academic programs and ensuring timely notification to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). As a standard for accreditation, SACSCOC approval is required before the University may initiate any substantive change. Substantive change is defined by SACSCOC as a significant modification or expansion of the nature and scope of an accredited institution. The University’s SACSCOC Liaison (Dr. Allen Clark) is responsible for developing and implementing procedures necessary to ensure compliance with SACSCOC requirements. Effective 4/7/2010.
