Student Identity Verification, Privacy, and Notification in Distance Education Courses

UNT takes measures to protect the integrity of educational credentials awarded to students enrolled in distance education courses by verifying student identity, protecting student privacy, and notifying students of any special meeting times/locations or additional charges associated with student identity verification in distance education courses.

Admissions

UNT is committed to academic excellence.  In 1984, the UNT Board of Regents endorsed the concept of raising academic requirements while intensifying efforts to help students succeed academically. Subsequently, UNT has steadily increased standards for both undergraduate and graduate admissions. Pursuant to the 1984 policy, this policy establishes guidelines for processes to be followed for making changes in admission standards.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements for Financial Assistance

Federal and state regulations require the University of North Texas to monitor student academic progress to ensure students are making satisfactory progress toward their degree or credential in order to remain eligible to receive financial aid. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (FAS) monitors the academic progress of students to determine continued eligibility for financial aid.
